The online lessons the author of this book will teach you to create are definitely a step above the lessons you learn to create in The HyperDoc Handbook. I love both books though, and both will have a place in my classroom. If you want to learn how to create engaging online lessons using the Google Apps for Education suite (as well as several other apps), and if you use Google Classroom as your online learning platform, you will love this book. I feel inspired by the content of this book and look forward to seeing my students' engagement in the lessons.
This is the best educational book I've read in a while. The ideas are relevant and students respond positively! I just started a new position teaching HS math (I started the week after spring break - so the craziest time of the year). I have been implementing some of the ideas and the kids are doing wonderful. Collaboration ideas, helpful hints. It's way more than 50 ideas. In addition she has included links to resources throughout the entire book. I strongly encourage for any teacher - most ideas can be easily translated to other content areas and at any grad level. The number of secondary relevant ideas was surprising. She provided examples and resources from kindergarten through calculus.
Good information if you are new to Google classroom.
Love this book. I read it in one sitting and cannot wait to implement the ideas with my students.
The format of the Kindle book is very poor and hard to read. I purchased the Kindle Book for and additional $2.99 after I purchased the printed book. I really hope the book itself is easy to read and follow. I will update my ratings after I receive the print book.
Alice has done it again! Collaborating this time with co-author Diana Harrington, the authors provide educators with an amazing resource for teaching mathematics with Google Apps. Their book is packed with lesson ideas, links to online templates and supplemental resources. The screenshots and detailed instructions will support teachers new to using G Suite, and the meaningful ways to seamlessly incorporate Google Apps in the mathematics classroom will empower teachers to look at math instruction and student engagement differently. Highly recommend this book!
